With this recent success, I am overjoyed to announce that my home State, Bihar has been named the best in the nation for the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM)! With over 6.8 Crore Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA), we are revolutionising the way we do health care. Why Biharis Are Leading the Way

Bihar is not just taking part in this initiative but rather leading the nation. Here are some highlights of Bihar’s success:

1. Volume: With over 6.8 Crore ABHA numbers issued, approximately 60% of the entire population of Bihar has created an ABHA. In fact, this is a greater number of people than many states with much larger populations.

2. Number One in the Country: Bihar has established itself as the leading state for the number of ABHA numbers issued as well as the number of users fully engaged with the ABDM compared to all other states such as Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, etc.

3. Incredible Rapid Growth: When the ABDM started, Bihar started registering millions of people through a variety of methods such as registration camps, mobile applications, as well as hospitals, showing that Biharis have the commitment and determination to grow this initiative from the ground up.

The ABDM, which is being implemented by the Central Government, will create a "Digital Health Ecosystem" which will allow patients to access information related to their health anywhere within the Country regardless of where they go. The ABDM will be the equivalent of the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) for health. The objective of the ABDM is to create a single, secure way to provide everyone with their own specific healthcare records from any location in India.
