India's Pralay Missile: Successful User Trials Mark Defense Milestone

India's Pralay Missile Is a Revolutionary Technology in Defense Industry

The Pralay is an Indian-made missile that travels to its target with exceptional speed and accuracy. Recently, the Indian government completed user trials for the Pralay missile. No foreign technology was used to create this missile; everything was developed in India. In this article, we will explain the Pralay missile in more simple terms.

Pralay is a tactical short-range ballistic missile (SRBM) with a range between 150 to 500 km and can be programmed to carry conventional and/or nuclear payloads (warheads). It was designed to travel against enemy radar by flying at low altitudes. The results of the user trials were successful; mock targets were struck with 100% accuracy. The Defence Research and Development Organisation and the Army were responsible for the trials, demonstrating that this missile is ready to be called up to active duty.

The ability for self-reliance in defence is essential in an era of global border tensions. India has adopted the concept "Atmanirbhar Bharat" (self-reliant India) and Pralay aligns perfectly with their vision. The Pralay missile provides India with an operational edge over older generation missile systems because it is designed to fly faster and more manoeuvrable than existing systems. Think of it like riding a bicycle in a high-speed motorcycle race; you can gain an advantage by speeding up your bicycle's design and speed.
